Job summary

McAlister’s Deli in Springfield, IL is seeking an hourly Team Leader to support daily restaurant operations and ensure a superior guest experience. You will supervise shifts, balance FOH and BOH tasks, and uphold food quality, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.

You will train staff, monitor service speed, handle guest comments, and ensure cash handling procedures are followed. Open/close duties when upper management is absent, with flexible scheduling and competitive pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision during shifts and ensure smooth operation of FOH and BOH tasks.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety and sanitation.
• Handle issues with team members, guests, and suppliers as needed and escalate when necessary.
• Assist in training new hires and ongoing staff development.
• Monitor daily labor controls and costs as directed by management.
• Support in opening and closing procedures when upper management is unavailable.
