Insomniacookies in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL is seeking a Shift Leader to captain bakery operations during day or night shifts at 1105 E 55th St, Chicago. You will lead the cookie crew, ensure top-notch customer service, manage tasks, and uphold safety standards while supporting store leadership.

The role requires 1+ year in a customer-facing environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all guests during their experience in our bakery
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, and coaching team members
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew
• Provide a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safe food handling practices
• Manage cash handling and deposits

Shift Leader

As a Shift Leader at our Hyde Park store located at 1105 E 55th St, Chicago, IL 60615, you are the captain of our bakery day or night! You understand what it takes to Own the Night (and beyond), by predicting the flow of business during a successful shift. Your hands‑on leadership style should not only include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers – it will also mean taking pride in knowing that your responsibilities as a leading Insomniac contribute to a productive and fun night for your store.

Responsibilities

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all guests during their experience in our bakery
