Job summary

Insomniacookies in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a Shift Leader to captain daily bakery operations, lead a cookie crew, and ensure outstanding customer experiences. You will manage shift tasks, mentor teammates, and uphold safety and quality standards while contributing to a fun, energetic store environment.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year in a customer-service role, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer-service experience.
• POS systems experience required.
• Excellent communication, time management and people skills.
• Outgoing, friendly and patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure quality products for guests.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift and coaching team members.
• Prioritize and delegate baking, cashiering, packaging and cleaning tasks while leading the crew.
• Collaborate with Cookie Crew and ensure a safe, clean work environment and proper food handling.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.

Shift Leader

What Will I Do As a Shift Leader?

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all of our guests throughout their experience within our bakeries.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, holding the team accountable to company standards and procedures, and assisting in the training and coaching of team members.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.
• Provide a safe, clean working environment for our guests and staff and adhere to safe food handling practices.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.
