Alpla Inc. in Lima, Ohio is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the production team and ensure equipment runs at peak efficiency to meet daily goals.

You will supervise subordinates, coordinate tasks, record production data, and work with the Production Manager to drive safety, quality, and operational excellence. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a technical engineering background, supervisory experience, and a commitment to training staff and maintaining housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical engineering background preferred.
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Good process knowledge and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all tasks of subordinates to ensure peak efficiency and meet goals.
• Run production area and ensure items are produced and packaged to specifications.
• Accurately record goods produced and shift issues to ensure smooth handovers.
• Perform mold changes with the Machine Operator.
• Maintain product quality and ensure adherence to company policies and safety.
• Lead the team, assess training needs, and ensure adequate staffing.
• Record time/attendance and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Attend meetings with Production Manager and address employee concerns.
• Maintain housekeeping within the department.
