Job summary

ALPLA, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, is hiring a Maintenance Team Supervisor in Lima, Ohio. You will supervise daily activities of PM and maintenance teams, ensure preventive maintenance, and maintain records of maintenance activities to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a four-year mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, at least four years in a similar role, hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum four years of work experience at ALPLA or similar industry required.
• Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines.
• Experience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Hands on experience running busy engineering department.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good leadership skills.
• Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the PM and maintenance teams for plant support.
• Track completion of the teams tasks and supporting training activities.
• Services and maintains machines on site.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed.
• Ensure machine breakdowns are repaired.
• Ensure current and accurate record of maintenance.
• Ensure all relevant manufacturer modifications and updates are performed/installed.
• Ensure a sound spare part warehouse.
• Ensure availability of spare parts.
• Ensure all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures.
• Leads the team to work efficiently and covers absenteeism and holidays.
