Job summary

Papa John’s is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise shifts and ensure high quality pizza and customer service, driving restaurant profitability and adherence to company policies. You’ll help oversee daily operations, train and support teammates, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

You will manage shift coverage, assist with inventory and cash handling, and uphold Papa John’s service standards during nights and weekends to deliver an excellent guest experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
• Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work long hours (32+ hours generally required), scheduled or unscheduled, which will include nights, weekends, and as emergencies arise.
• Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant.
• Functional Skills Planning & Prioritization Communicates Effectively Process Improvement

Responsibilities

• Adheres to guidelines, techniques and expectations for each station including, but not limited to, dough management, accuracy and proper portioning.
• Performs assigned work station duties such as making quality products, follows all product preparations procedures and maintains established product holding times.
• Contributes to achieving the Company’s product goals.
• Meets the needs and expectations of the restaurant’s customers, minimizes customer complaints and responds to customer needs.
• Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in the TM handbook including image, attendance, safety and security.
• Exemplifies and maintains Core Values, stays positive and works well with others.
• Ensures adequate shift coverage for the restaurant.
• Provides immediate feedback and corrects problems when identified.
• Maintains product quality, customer service, and performance within standards and follows shift management procedures.
• Contributes to profit goals by staying within guidelines and using the FOCUS System.
• Executes cash management duties.
• Assists in managing inventory levels to minimize loss.
