Position Overview:

The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager. The role involves ensuring the team understands goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, directives, and guest connections during the shift.

DOING – What you deliver:
  • Lead shifts focusing on team engagement and guest satisfaction, ensuring fun and excellence
  • Maximize product sales and waste management strategically
  • Take ownership of the store’s look and feel, demonstrating “total store vision”
  • Communicate effectively during shifts, addressing needs proactively
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities clearly, owning the current and next shift
  • Ensure SOP and quality standards are met consistently
  • Coach and give feedback to team members in real-time
  • Train team on responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions
  • Perform administrative duties such as deposits, inventory, and ordering
  • Develop team members and discuss career growth opportunities

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience, or proper training and approval by Caribou Coffee
  • Availability for early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Minimum age of 18 years

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:

Hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4 to 8 hours, with or without accommodations.
