Description of Work

As a Chick‑fil‑A Shift Lead you will:

• Serve as a member of the management team by providing leadership, direction and supervision to Team Members during their shift and ensuring a high‑quality experience for guests.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership:
  • Delegate shift duty assignments to staff/students.
  • Oversee front end and back‑of‑restaurant operations.
  • Ensure products and ingredients are stocked and available based on forecasting.
  • Train new team members.
  • Ensure presentation, quality, and food standards are met.
• Provide excellent customer service to all guests through front end and back‑end operations which may include:
  • Greeting all guests in a friendly manner and addressing guest concerns.
  • Accurately entering orders into the POS system and cashier duties.
  • Food preparation and monitoring food quality and safety.
  • Front end and kitchen stocking.
  • Ingredient preparation.
  • Inventory, dish machine operation, cleaning duties, opening, and closing procedures.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED plus three years of food preparation experience and mastery of all kitchen and dining tasks; equivalent experience/education considered.
• Ability to read, write, weigh, and measure.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to train and lead others.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience.

Other Requirements

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre‑employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
• Criminal history background check required.
