University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Chick-fil-A Shift Leader (Full-time) in Lincoln, NE. You will join the management team, supervise staff, and ensure a high-quality guest experience during shifts.

You will delegate duties, oversee operations, train new team members, and maintain food safety and presentation standards. Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and late nights; growth opportunities exist within the university dining program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; three years of food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, weigh and measure; effective communication is essential.
• Ability to train and lead others; supervisory potential is a plus.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing required sanitation tests.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members during shifts, provide direction and supervision for a high-quality guest experience.
• Delegate shift duties, oversee restaurant operations, and ensure inventory and quality standards.
• Greet guests, enter orders accurately, handle cash, and manage food safety and prep tasks.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and maintain front-end and back-end operations.

Description of Work

As a Chick-fil-A Shift Leader you will:

• Serve as a member of the management team by providing leadership, direction and supervision to Team Members during their shift and ensuring a high – quality experience for guests.
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership:
  • By delegating shift duty assignments to staff/students
  • Oversee front end and back of restaurant operations
  • Ensure products and ingredients are stocked and available based on forecasting
  • Training new team members
  • Ensure presentation, quality, and food standards are met
• Provide excellent customer service to all guest through front end and back-end operations which may include:
  • Greeting all guests in a friendly manner and addressing guest concerns
  • Accurately entering orders into the POS system and cashier duties
  • Food preparation and monitoring food quality and safety
  • Front end and kitchen stocking
  • Ingredient preparation
  • Inventory, dish machine operation, cleaning duties, opening, and closing procedures

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/ GED plus three years of food preparation experience and mastery of all kitchen and dining tasks and attributes; equivalent experience/education considered.
