Whataburger is hiring a Shift Leader to drive operational excellence at your home restaurant. You will lead shifts, coach team members, and ensure quality, service, and cleanliness during peak times.

You’ll work with the Restaurant Manager to optimize scheduling, safety, and inventory basics while helping the team grow through on‑the‑job training. This role offers a clear path for growth within Whataburger’s organization.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Possess ServSafe Food Certification (or the ability to obtain during training).

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members, helping new hires on‑board quickly.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and basic inventory.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
