Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos is seeking a Shift Leader in Houston to ensure smooth shifts and deliver a Damn Good guest experience. You’ll balance hands-on work with guiding FOH and BOH efforts, supervise daily operations, and support inventory, prep, and cash handling with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires leadership experience, ServSafe certifications, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or similar environment.
Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Lead shifts with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing team dynamics, and ensuring operational excellence.
Serve as a key holder for opening and closing the restaurant, including setup and securing the facility.
Identify, prioritize, and delegate tasks to team members to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
Engage with guests to address needs and concerns with urgency and care.
Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members to meet performance standards.
Maintain knowledge of FOH and BOH processes, including recipe adherence, food safety, and cleanliness.
