Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Shift Leader for our Charleston, IL bakery. You’ll lead the shift, bake, package, and coach the Cookie Crew to deliver warm cookies and an outstanding guest experience.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth, access to training and mentorship, and employee perks including pay-on-demand, paid time off, pet insurance, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a customer-focused environment.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Able to lead by example and motivate others.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead bakery operations during shift to ensure excellent guest experience.
• Bake, package, and prepare orders while delivering great service.
• Coach and motivate Cookie Crew, giving direction and feedback.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks to maintain efficiency and guest demand.
• Maintain product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and speed of service.
• Manage cash handling, register accountability, and deposits.
• Communicate updates with store leadership to optimize operations.
• Step in anywhere to support the team.
