Job summary

Zaxbys is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee product, processes, and people on a shift. You will assign tasks, respond to guest concerns, train staff, and ensure standards are met. This role includes opening/closing duties and shaping a positive work environment.

You'll mentor team members, manage performance, and partner with the General Manager to achieve goals while maintaining safety and quality standards throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Part-time: 9 to 28 hours per week; Full-time: 32 to 40 hours per week.
• Successful completion of background check.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
• Follows company standards and local laws with regards to employee time punches.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Technological savvy; knowledge of required company software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager.
• Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
• Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability.
• Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift.
• Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zax LLC guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are upheld.
• Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members satisfy guest expectations.
• Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing tasks are complete.
