Job summary

Newk's Eatery in Starkville, MS seeks a Shift Leader to help deliver the Newk's Experience on each shift. You will lead day-to-day operations, support your team in delivering quality food and friendly service, and keep the restaurant running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities include supervising team members, monitoring food quality and safety, coordinating tasks, assisting with cash handling, and coaching staff to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate team members to deliver the Newk's Experience, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Support front- and/or back-of-house operations to ensure standards, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and safety practices throughout the shift.
• Coordinate shift tasks, prioritize needs as they arise, and ensure products are prepared and served correctly.
• Assist with cash handling and operational accuracy as needed.
• Maintain a respectful, positive, and professional work environment.
• Support recruiting, training, and coaching efforts to help team members succeed.
• Communicate clearly with management and other team leads to drive consistency.
