Job summary

RaceTrac is looking for a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced team and ensure guest satisfaction on every shift. You will guide food service, stocking, and cash handling while modeling accountability and teamwork.

You’ll coach teammates in real time, address guest concerns with empathy, and drive operational excellence through proper inventory, promotions, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience in retail, restaurant, or food service preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a winning team on your shift and set the tone with a cheerful, can-do attitude.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real time and offer guidance and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism; escalate when necessary.
• Train and guide the team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Manage write-offs, cash wrap, and compliance documentation.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment.
