Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations and lead the team on duty. You will ensure brand standards, guest connections, and smooth shift execution in partnership with the GM/AGM.

You will coach and train team members, manage tasks, assist with inventory and cash handling, and uphold safety and quality across the store. Flexible availability and 18+ required; Minnesota location.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in a leadership role or trained and approved to take on Shift Leader responsibilities.
• Shift Leaders must maintain flexible availability to meet business and team needs.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of every Team Member responsibility with confidence and excellence.
• Leads shifts with energy, keeps the team engaged, and ensures the shift stays on track.
• Optimizes product sales while managing waste and maintaining an inviting coffeehouse environment.
• Knows the day's deployment and the roles connected to it, communicating on the floor to keep things moving.
• Reads team needs, delegates objectives and tasks accordingly.
• Owns the current shift and ensures a smooth hand-off to the next shift.
• Ensures SOPs are followed and store safety, cash handling, and quality standards are met.
• Coaches and trains the team on responsibilities, product knowledge, promotions, and guest requests.
• Performs administrative tasks with integrity, including bank deposits, inventory, and product orders.
• Develops Team Members through coaching and feedback.
