Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Part Time Shift Leader to operate across First, Second, and Third shifts. Earn between $14.75 and $15.25 per hour plus digital tips in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

You will lead team members, manage tasks, ensure quality, and support customer service while controlling costs. Requires 18+, 1 year supervisory experience, and food safety certification; ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Must pass Food Safety Certification; IL applicants must certify within 30 days.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to stand 8–9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and assign tasks while providing feedback.
• Ensure security procedures are followed.
• Maintain back-of-house procedural standards.
• Count drawers and follow cash handling procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products efficiently.
• Comply with health and safety standards.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms and utensils.
• Operate cash register and balance cash.
• Address customer complaints/issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
