Job summary

Caribou Coffee is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee store operations in partnership with the GM or AGM. You will ensure brand standards, guest connections, and product quality across the shift, driving engagement and efficient execution.

The role requires leading with energy, coaching the team on responsibilities and promotions, and handling administrative tasks such as deposits and inventory. Flexible scheduling and a strong customer-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 months of leadership experience or properly trained to take on Shift Leader responsibilities
• Flexible availability to support business needs
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of every Team Member responsibility with confidence, enthusiasm, and excellence
• Leads shifts with energy and keeps the shift on track
• Optimizes product sales while managing waste and maintaining a clean, inviting coffeehouse
• Communicates deployment roles on the floor to keep the shift moving
• Delegates objectives based on needs and priorities
• Owns the shift and ensures a smooth hand-off to the next team
• Ensures SOPs and brand standards are followed for quality, cash handling, and safety
• Trains team on responsibilities, product knowledge, promotions, and guest requests
• Performs administrative tasks with integrity, including deposits, inventory, and orders
• Develops Team Members through coaching and feedback
• Embodies Core Values in every action and growth
• Assumes Manager on Duty decisions with composure
• Fosters inclusive culture and personal growth on every shift
• Trains new hires on responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions
