Job summary

Shake Shack is hiring a Restaurant Shift Leader in San Diego to oversee service flow, supervise a team of hourly members, and support purchasing, receiving, and inventory tasks. The role also involves interviewing applicants and handling employee relations within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of leadership in a restaurant, valid Food Safety Certification, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
