Job summary

Shake Shack is seeking a shift leader to direct the flow of service, oversee a high‑performing team of hourly Team Members, and ensure safety, cleanliness, quality and speed on busy shifts.

We offer starting hourly pay from $18.00 to $22.00, plus weekly pay, performance bonuses, medical/dental/vision coverage, retirement matching, paid time off, parental leave, commuter benefits and exclusive discounts, with strong opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Strong problem solving skills.
• At least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team.
• Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Help build and lead high performing team of hourly Team Members.
• May assist with operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
• Participates in applicant interviews and assists with employee relations.
