Job summary

Weis Markets in Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistant Starbucks Leader to support daily store operations, lead shifts, and ensure a high level of customer service. You will coordinate barista teams, manage tasks, and help uphold company standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, coaching, cash handling, safety, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. Training is provided and you’ll work with the Starbucks Leader to deliver a consistent customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Running Shifts with Customers at Our Core: Understands today’s plan and ensures the team is working together to make every moment right for our customers.
• Solving Problems in the Moment: Anticipates problems and uses resources to respond calmly and confidently.
• Creating the Environment: Promotes an atmosphere of engagement and pride while achieving goals.
• May operate and be responsible for cash register operations. Follows policies and procedures to ensure proper money handling to avoid cash overages or shortages.
• Maintains backroom and receiving area security and organization. Responsible for general sanitation in the department.
• May assist with baling cardboard or other related duties (if properly trained – training provided).
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries through operation of a power jack or hand jack (if properly trained – training provided).
• Ensures smooth workflow within department by cooperating with co-workers and superiors. Strives to continuously improve job performance.
• Responsible for utilization of all company provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE). Including but not limited to cut resistant gloves, safety cutters, company sponsored footwear, etc.
• May also be called upon to assist in other departments.
