Job summary

Penn Station Sandwiches is hiring a Shift Leader to join our restaurant management team. The role involves guiding opening, mid-shift, and closing duties while delivering friendly, efficient service to guests.

You will lead a team, coach staff on policies, and ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained throughout the shift. This position emphasizes strong customer service and reliable leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be team-oriented, friendly, honest, and have strong customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be at least 17 years old.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests by taking orders, handling cash and credit cards, and responding promptly to guest needs.
• Delivering meals to guests at their table or designated pickup area with excellent service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, dining room, parking lot, and restrooms.
• Stock as needed to maintain inventory during shift.
• Lead and coach a team while upholding operating standards for hospitality and guest experience.
• Train team members on policies and procedures and foster a positive work environment.
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Open and/or close the restaurant leading the shift as a key holder.

• Effectively manage and lead a team of people serving our guests while maintaining our operating standards to provide the best hospitality and guest experience.
• Coaching, teaching and training team members on policies and procedures and creating a positive work environment for everyone.
