Shift Leader Job Profile

Summary

Shift Leaders manage the processes and personnel necessary to provide a friendly guest experience during their shift. They oversee product preparation according to operational and quality standards and manage the store team to ensure excellent service.

Shift Leaders provide leadership, direction, and coaching to Crew Members, assign roles, set expectations, motivate, and provide feedback to improve performance or recognize success.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing a positive team environment
• Arriving on time and preparing for the shift
• Respectfully communicating with team members and guests
• Assigning roles, providing feedback, and recognizing achievements
• Supporting training and development of team members
• Driving urgency to meet guest needs and resolve issues
• Monitoring performance to meet standards of quality, service, and cleanliness
• Executing restaurant standards and marketing initiatives
• Controlling labor, food, and cash costs
• Ensuring compliance with policies on cleanliness, safety, and security
• Reporting equipment issues and providing performance feedback
• Adhering to all policies and procedures
• Responding positively to coaching and feedback
• Being accountable for shift responsibilities
• Learning and executing multiple tasks
