This role is responsible for assisting the General Manager or Person In Charge (on duty) with management activities and duties. The Shift Leader works with the Restaurant Management Team to ensure all activities align with the restaurant’s business plan and that Crew Persons and Team Leaders perform their responsibilities effectively.

Essential Functions

• Provide quality products and customer service to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Improve the skills and performance of all Crew Persons.
• Support efforts to maximize sales and profits while minimizing controllable costs.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Model and promote company shared values.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
• Participate in training, meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
• Perform additional duties or projects as needed.

Qualifications and Core Competencies

• 2-3 years of experience and/or education demonstrating restaurant management knowledge.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent planning, time management, and team-building skills.
• Investigative and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot cash handling issues.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
• Effective communication methods; accessible to meet the restaurant’s needs.
• Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to implement process improvements.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Fast-paced environment with kitchen equipment and tight spaces.
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and work around heat.
• Lift 50-75 lbs comfortably.
