Job summary

Chick-fil-A seeks a Shift Leader to help guide Team Members during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent food, service, and hospitality. You will model standards, monitor daily operations, and resolve guest concerns with calm, friendly leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous Chick-fil-A, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or leadership experience is preferred, but not always required.

Shift Leader Responsibilities

As a Shift Leader, you will help lead the restaurant during assigned shifts and ensure our team consistently delivers excellent food, service, and hospitality.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare for your shift by creating set up sheets and reviewing goals for that day
• Lead, support, and motivate Team Members throughout the shift
• Set the pace and model Chick-fil-A standards for quality, safety, hospitality, urgency, and teamwork
• Position Team Members effectively based on business needs and individual strengths
• Provide clear direction and communicate expectations throughout the shift
• Coach Team Members in the moment and help them grow in confidence and competency
• Create a welcoming and encouraging environment for both guests and Team Members
• Ensure guests receive fast, accurate, attentive, and friendly service
• Respond to guest concerns and help create positive resolutions
• Maintain Chick-fil-A standards for food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence
• Monitor restaurant operations and adjust positions or priorities as business needs change
• Help ensure breaks, transitions, opening tasks, closing tasks, and shift responsibilities are completed appropriately
• Communicate important information to fellow leaders and restaurant leadership
• Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to solve problems
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional restaurant environment
• Support training and development of new and existing Team Members
• Demonstrate good stewardship of restaurant equipment, products, time, and resources
• Hold yourself and others accountable to restaurant policies and Chick-fil-A standards

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical responsibilities of restaurant operations
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
