Job summary

Jeremiah’s Ice is seeking a versatile Shift Supervisor to oversee daily restaurant operations in Kentucky. You will manage both front-of-house and back-of-house workflow, coach staff, and resolve guest situations with a focus on cleanliness, sanitation, and efficiency.

The role requires Serv-Safe certification, ability to manage schedules, and a proactive approach to maintaining safety standards and quality. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of restaurant experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• General knowledge of restaurant operations (FOH & BOH).
• Proven leadership ability.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for assigned areas or shifts.
• Effectively handle guest complaints.
• Verify that proper security policies are upheld including cash handling policies.
• Count/close registers and verify correct amounts.
• Perform end-of-day functions (inventory, deposits, nightly reports, etc.).
• Ensure Quality/Service/Cleanliness standards are maintained at all times during shift; take corrective action as needed.
• Assist in ensuring Food Safety systems and processes are understood, implemented, and in compliance.
• Perform assigned tasks to meet operational standards with limited supervision.
• Maintain operational efficiencies through effective use of inventory and labor controls, organization, and time management.
• Ensure all FOH and Hospitality team members are Serv Safe Alcohol certified before taking floor.
• Complete weekly schedule for servers and hospitality team members; approve with GM before posting.
• Perform assigned daily maintenance and cleaning activities.
• All other duties as assigned

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises the daily operations of the restaurant. Responsible for high standards of efficiency, cleanliness, sanitation, and managing. Manages the daily workflow of both FOH and BOH staff and resolves guest situations.

POSITION DETAILS

• Provide leadership and direction for assigned areas or assigned shifts
• Effectively handle guest complaints
• Verify that proper security policies are upheld including cash handling policies
• Count/close registers and verify correct amounts
• Perform end of day functions (inventory, deposits, nightly reports, etc..)
• Ensure Quality/Service/Cleanliness standards are maintained at all times during shift. Take corrective action immediately on any deficiencies
• Assist in ensuring Food Safety systems and processes are understood, implemented, and in compliance
• Perform necessary tasks to meet operational standards with limited direct supervision.
• Maintain operational efficiencies through effective use of inventory and labor controls, organization, and time management.
• Ensure all FOH and Hospitality team members are Serv Safe Alcohol certified before taking floor
• Complete weekly schedule for servers and hospitality team members. Approve with GM before posting
• Perform assigned daily maintenance and cleaning activities.
• All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM PREFERED REQUIREMENTS

• At least one year of restaurant experience
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A general knowledge of restaurant operations (FOH & BOH)

• Serve-Safe Certified
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Flexible working schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be extremely flexible and have the ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail. Must exhibit the highest level of professionalism in dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Must be is self-motivated, results driven, able to handle multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment, flexible, willingness to understand the business, and possesses proven organizational and critical thinking skills.
