Job summary

Chick-fil-A Junction, NC is seeking a Shift Leader to support senior leadership in daily operations, coach team members, and uphold our high standards of service. This role emphasizes task completion for smooth restaurant operations and developing staff to meet Chick-fil-A’s operational excellence.

The position requires leading by example, flexibility with schedules, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
• Provide immediate and respectful responses to guests’ needs.
• Assist in training of new hires and lead shifts.
• Be a friendly, encouraging team player.
• Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Plan shifts and employee setups.
• Ensure team follows recipes and reads tickets to prepare orders.
• Ensure accurate weights and measurements.
• Maintain speed of service.
• Keep workstations clean.
• Execute cash handling and hold cashiers accountable.
• Monitor dining room, restrooms, parking lot, restaurant cleanliness.
• Address guest concerns professionally and consult a Director for complex issues.
• Maintain positive working relationships with respect.

Job description

A Shift Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant’s heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Shift Leader’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Shift Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Shift Leader Responsibilities:

• Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant

• Planning ahead for your shifts and employee setups.
• Ensures that Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
• Ensures that Team Members are extremely accurate with weights and measurements for all menu items.
• Ensures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain the restaurants speed of service guidelines.
• Ensures that workstations are kept clean at all times.
• Executes proper security, cash handling and holds cashiers accountable to adhering to policies and procedures.
• Ensures that Team Members monitor the dining room, restrooms, parking lot and overall restaurant cleanliness.
• Addresses guest concerns in a professional manner, consults with a Director regarding complex issues.
• Maintains positive working relationships, treating all with honor, dignity and respect.
• Communicates employee performance, policy and procedure violations to management for appropriate handling.
