ROLE SUMMARY

This role is about becoming a leader. You are responsible for supervising and coaching team members, owning each shift you run, and ensuring that shifts are well-managed and profitable. As a shift leader, you set an example for others and have a broader impact on team members, customers, and the business.

Key Responsibilities (what Shifts do)

  1. Step Change Thinker
    • Identify core issues quickly in complex situations
    • Encourage questions from the team and discuss options that don’t currently exist
  2. Know How Builder
    • Seek continuous feedback to improve performance
    • Implement shift success routines effectively
    • Execute core operational procedures such as shift accountability, product projections, Repair & Maintenance (R&M) spending, and Cost of Sales/Cost of Labor (COS/COL) controls
  3. People Grower
    • Promote and exemplify the 'How We Win Together' (HWWT²) and 'Achieving Breakthrough Results' (ABR) culture within the store
    • Support the RGM/AUM in training talent through the Learning Zone and hands-on activities
    • Use the EARS Model (Explore, Analyze, Respond, and Making it Stick) to coach team members and build capability
    • Hold team members accountable for performance issues
    • Recognize exceptional performance with CHAMPS cards
    • Maintain positive energy at all times
