Job summary

Modern Market Eatery in Colorado is seeking an experienced Shift Leader to help run daily operations in a fast-paced, open kitchen environment. You will ensure shifts run smoothly, guest service standards are met, and staff stay productive and engaged.

You will manage opening and closing procedures, delegate tasks, supervise team members, and maintain food quality. Minimum 6 months of shift leadership experience and strong communication are required; food handlers and alcohol service training

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience required.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Food handlers training preferred.
• Alcohol service training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks.
• Continually monitor our food and food quality.
• Open and close procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts.
• Run the shift while ensuring breaks are taken appropriately for all employees.
• Work all stations in the restaurant and adapt to where you are most needed.
• Assist the Manager with other duties as needed.

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks
• Continually monitor our food and food quality
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts
• Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day
• Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed

• This position is paid hourly and is eligible for overtime in accordance with laws applicable to the work location.
• This position is eligible to participate in Tip sharing! This benefit can add upwards of $2 / hour additional pay and is paid out each pay period.
