Job summary

Modern Market Eatery is seeking experienced Shift Leaders to grow in a restaurant leadership role. You’ll run the shift, ensure guest service expectations are met, monitor food quality, and manage opening and closing procedures in a fast-paced open kitchen.

This hourly position includes overtime eligibility, tip sharing that can add pay, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, paid holidays, a 401k, and free employee meals. Thrive Restaurant Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience required.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks.
• Continually monitor our food and food quality.
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts.
• Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day.
• Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time.
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed.

What you’ll do:

If so, this is the job for you! We are Modern Market Eatery – a farm-fresh eatery that serves awesome food in a fast-paced, open kitchen setting. We love food and we love providing an excellent guest experience to each person that walks through our door. We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Shift Leaders to join our team.
