Job summary

Skyline Chili, Inc. is seeking a Shift Leader at our Brookville, IN location. You will supervise Team Members, ensure safe operations, and lead food preparation to deliver Skyline’s signature hospitality.

The role emphasizes training, cash handling, and cost controls while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Ability to work varied schedules and lift up to 50 lb is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 18 years old.
• 1+ years restaurant or supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment by following Skyline policy and procedures.
• Train, monitor and reinforce food safety procedures; ensure compliance with health/sanitation regulations.
• Lead and demonstrate Skyline Time service and ensure hospitality across guests.
• Supervise Team Members and prepare food to maintain quality.
• Monitor labor usage against sales and adjust as needed.
• Execute, train and monitor cash control procedures.
• Provide ongoing coaching and proper training for Team Members.
• Perform duties of a production employee when needed.
• Take on other job-related duties as assigned.

Ensures all company food safety procedures are followed. Complies with all health/sanitation regulations.Leads and demonstrates Skyline Time service and ensures all employees provide this level of hospitality.Supervises Team Members and prepares food to ensure quality products are served to our guests. Follow up with Team Members regarding food preparation and Company procedure to minimize food costs.Monitors labor usage against sales and acts when necessary.Executes, trains and monitors proper cash control procedures.Ensures proper training for Team Members through established training systems. Provides ongoing coaching to Team Members.Performs all functions of a production employee when needed.Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.Work Requirements & Physical DemandsAble to work a variety of schedules in accordance with business needs and customary scheduling requirements.May be required to transfer from one location to another as business needs dictate.Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and stooping.Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lb. cases, spaghetti lugs, bus tubs, trash cans, and any other item up to that weight.Able to effectively and safely use kitchen equipment.Possess basic math and computer skills.Displays professional and appropriate image and appearance.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Must be at least 18 years of age.1 or more years of restaurant or supervisory experience, preferred.Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
