Job summary

Skyline Chili, LLC seeks a Shift Leader to supervise front-line staff and ensure high-quality food and service.

You will train team members, monitor food safety, and manage labor and cash procedures to maintain cost controls while delivering Skyline Time hospitality to guests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of restaurant or supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment by following Skyline policy and procedures.
• Trains, monitors and reinforces food safety procedures; complies with health/sanitation regulations.
• Leads Skyline Time service and ensures hospitality standards are met.
• Supervises Team Members and prepares food to ensure quality products; minimizes food costs.
• Monitors labor usage against sales and acts when necessary.
• Executes and monitors proper cash control procedures.
• Ensures proper training for Team Members and provides ongoing coaching.
• Performs all functions of a production employee when needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

As a Shift Leader with Skyline, you will:

• Ensure a safe and secure environment is maintained by following Skyline policy and procedures.
• Trains, monitors and reinforces food safety procedures to Team Members. Ensures all company food safety procedures are followed. Complies with all health/sanitation regulations.
• Leads and demonstrates Skyline Time service and ensures all employees provide this level of hospitality.
• Supervises Team Members and prepares food to ensure quality products are served to our guests. Follow up with Team Members regarding food preparation and Company procedure to minimize food costs.
• Monitors labor usage against sales and acts when necessary.
• Executes, trains and monitors proper cash control procedures.
• Ensures proper training for Team Members through established training systems. Provides ongoing coaching to Team Members.
• Performs all functions of a production employee when needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.

Work Requirements & Physical Demands

• Able to work a variety of schedules in accordance with business needs and customary scheduling requirements.
• May be required to transfer from one location to another as business needs dictate.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and stooping.
• Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lb. cases, spaghetti lugs, bus tubs, trash cans, and any other item up to that weight.
• Able to effectively and safely use kitchen equipment.
• Possess basic math and computer skills.
• Displays professional and appropriate image and appearance.

Minimum Qualifications
