Job summary

Chattanooga Goodwill Industries is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise store personnel, support daily operations, and provide excellent customer service to donors and shoppers. The role emphasizes confidentiality, punctuality, and teamwork while aligning with our mission and safety policies.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, prior retail or customer service experience, and at least 6 months of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED, preferred.
• Prior retail experience or customer service/ relations experience preferred.
• 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as interpersonal skills, bilingual a plus.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Reliable transportation and communication required.
• Must be available to work during operating business hours as needed for business operations. Work schedule includes days, evenings, holidays and weekends are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all store personnel as applicable during assigned shift to ensure operational standards are met.
• Develop, train, coach, and support store associates for career growth within the organization.
• Greet, assist, and provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assist and resolve any complaints and communicate issues to the management team.
• Maintain proficiency for tasks required in all workstations.
• Monitor and maintain overall store appearance and housekeeping to agency standards.
• Perform and assist in all functions completed by store personnel.
• Attend all meetings and training as required by the agency.
• Review and be familiar with safety policies and procedures; adhere to safety rules.
