Job summary

Leisure Living Senior Communities seeks a dedicated nurse aide/lead in the Community - Wellness department. The role supports shift teams, mentors staff, and ensures compassionate, compliant resident care on-site.

Daily charting, safety protocols, and effective communication are essential. Responsibilities include medication administration per physician orders, coordinating with the care team, and promoting a respectful, supportive environment for residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and successful completion of Care Specialist I and II within 90 days of hire.
• At least 6 months of recent experience as a Care Specialist or equivalent.
• Must have CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must have demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to resource for team members.
• Participate in orientation and training for care team members.
• Mentor and support care team members to develop skills.
• Administer medications per physician orders and use eMAR with pharmacy support.
• Review resident care plans and ensure compliance with care standards.
• Respond promptly to resident call signals, doors, and safety alarms.
• Maintain daily charting and documentation; ensure infection control and safety policies are followed.
• Promote positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors.
