Job summary

Equator Coffees is seeking a Shift Lead for our Retail Cafe in San Francisco to assist the General Manager by guiding Baristas, maintaining exceptional beverage quality, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

The role requires a hospitality mindset, cash handling ability, and availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $21.00 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused shift lead with hospitality mindset.
• Experience in coffee environment preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS.
• Able to lead a team and coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Baristas to deliver high-quality beverages and hospitality.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Plan and deploy staff scheduling.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and store conditions.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures.
• Communicate with Store Manager on issues and improvements.
• Support inventory control tasks.
