Job summary

Equator Coffees is seeking a Shift Lead - Retail Cafe in Menlo Park to support the store manager, coach a team of baristas, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will help maintain beverage quality, train staff, and manage opening/closing duties while upholding Equator’s standards and culture.

The role requires passion for coffee, excellent customer service, and flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Prior cafe experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver high-quality handcrafted beverages.
• Provide coaching and feedback to baristas on drink quality.
• Plan and execute staff deployment and shift coverage.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Protect store assets and follow company policies.
