Job summary

Whistle Express in Lexington, KY is seeking a Shift Lead to set the pace on the lot. You know the site, you know the crew, and when management isn’t on-site you run it with accountability and a strong work ethic.

This is a fast, physical leadership role—ownership is expected, not babysitting. You’ll open and close, guide the team, ensure safety, and keep the car wash clean while delivering great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Greet customers as they arrive and provide a positive, friendly experience; answer questions about services, wash options, and memberships clearly and courteously; promote unlimited wash memberships and other offerings to drive engagement and sales; educate new customers on wash packages and services available.”
• Operations & Safety: Direct vehicles safely into the wash tunnel, prepare vehicles for washing, monitor equipment and enforce safety protocols; assist team members in resolving issues to keep the site running smoothly.
• Team Leadership: Open/close procedures as a key holder; lead the team during shifts; delegate tasks; monitor performance and provide guidance; handle challenges and escalate when needed.
• Attention to Detail: Inspect vehicles for quality, uphold Sparkle Assurance, report issues, and suggest process improvements to exceed customer expectations.
