Job summary

Peet’s Coffee in Capitola, CA is hiring a Shift Lead to help run daily operations, engage customers, and uphold our standards of quality and service. You’ll work with a team that builds authentic connections with guests and keeps the cafe welcoming and clean.

This role involves leading shifts, opening/closing routines, cash handling, inventory tasks, and supporting a positive, reliable team. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities in a community-focused coffee company.

Qualifications

• 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• 1 year experience with POS/cash handling.
• Availability to work a minimum of three days per week (including potentially mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays).
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with clear direction and task delegation.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by engaging guests and ensuring high service quality.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming coffeebar and represent Peet’s brand standards in appearance and ambience.
• Execute opening/closing routines, cash handling, and inventory tasks with accuracy.
