Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is hiring for a Shift Lead in California. You will manage shift tasks, open/close routines, cash handling, and inventory while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires leadership experience, POS familiarity, and a flexible schedule. You’ll operate in a team-driven, inclusive environment with opportunities for growth and benefits, including 401k and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a leadership role directing others.
• 1 year experience with POS/cash handling responsibilities.
• Schedule availability of at least 3 days per week to meet business needs.
• Must be legally eligible to work where the job is located.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to comply with minor policies.
• Must perform various physical tasks during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with task deployment and day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide exceptional customer experiences through engagement, craft, quality, and welcoming service.
• Maintain a clean, inviting coffeebar and support a positive team environment.
• Open/close routines, cash handling, inventory tasks, and visual updates during shifts.
• Adapt to changes, develop skills, and ensure shifts run smoothly.
