Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to manage daily operations on the floor and lead by example. You will supervise hands-on tasks, cover multiple roles, and ensure excellent guest experiences during every shift.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality with leadership potential, strong communication, and comfort with POS systems. You will foster a positive team culture and uphold brand standards in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing, not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
