Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader at our Saint Louis location to lead shifts, step into various roles, and ensure excellent guest experiences. You’ll set the tone for the shift, coach team members, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in hospitality or retail with leadership potential, strong communication, and comfort with POS systems. This on-site role offers growth opportunities within a high-energy team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing, not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room roles as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest experiences.
• Coach and motivate crew to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
