Job summary

Cup of Joe Cafes, LLC is seeking a energetic Shift Lead for its Starbucks licensed store in the Trustmark Building, downtown Mobile, AL. You will lead the floor, ensure an exceptional Starbucks experience, and support the Store Manager when off-site.

This role requires at least 1 year of supervisory experience and a customer‑first mindset. We offer $14–$15 per hour plus tips, flexible scheduling, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• You have at least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience in food service, retail, or hospitality.
• You lead by example and do not ask others to do what you wouldn't do.
• You stay calm under pressure during rush hours.
• You are warm with guests and colleagues and demonstrate hospitality.
• You are reliable, punctual, and set a positive tone on shift.
• You can detect details about drink quality or guest frustration and encourage teammates.
• You are comfortable with POS systems, scheduling tools, and daily reporting.
• Starbucks experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift from the floor, directing workflow and ensuring a great guest experience.
• Open or close the store, handle cash, safe counts, and end-of-day reporting.
• Coach the team on drink craft and brand standards in real time.
• Manage staffing and adjust assignments as volumes change.
• Address guest concerns with confidence and care.
• Complete daily tasks like inventory checks, cleaning, and stocking.
• Train and support new team members, modeling expected behavior.
• Communicate shift notes and issues to the Store Manager.
