Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring immediately for part-time Shift Leads. You will provide prompt, courteous customer service, assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions, and operate the cash register while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

As a Shift Lead you’ll support the Store Manager and help lead the team to exceed performance goals. Role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and cashier experience; age requirements apply by state.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age (21+ in some states)
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of cashier experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customers' requests and concerns
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees
