Job summary

High’s in West Friendship, MD is seeking a Shift Leader to support store operations and coach a team in delivering fast, fresh & friendly service. You will partner with the Store Manager to meet performance and profit goals, ensure food quality, cleanliness, and safe service, and provide outstanding customer experiences.

You will supervise daily tasks, train staff, uphold brand standards, and help manage inventory and shifts across weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience supervising others is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• ServSafe certification preferred or completed within 2 months of hire.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Supervise the day-to-day tasks of store employees.
• Provide exceptional customer service and up-sell when possible.
• Ensure food service procedures and sanitation requirements are followed.
• Motivate and coach staff to meet store goals.
• Delegate tasks and ensure daily operations run smoothly.
