Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) seeks a Lead Direct Support Professional to guide a team during their shift as they assist individuals with disabilities in daily living, healthcare tasks, and community activities.

The role emphasizes mentoring DSPs, documenting services, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team and ensuring a respectful, safe, and supportive environment for people we support.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year providing direct supports to individuals with disabilities.
• Specialized Training, Licenses, Certifications: SCIP and CPR/FA (provided upon hire); AMAP certification or within first 6 months.
• Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities: Proficient computer skills; writing skills; teamwork; excellent communication.
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license; driving duties may affect location/shift/hours.

Responsibilities

• Guide DSPs to help people identify and realize personal life goals.
• Advocate for people we support in various situations.
• Teach new life skills and promote health and safety.
• Develop service plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document service provision accurately and timely.
• Provide ongoing protective oversight and community involvement.
