Job summary

Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE) is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work with individuals with diverse supports in a community setting. You will help with daily living, health, and safety, documenting services and following support plans.

The role requires strong English communication, teamwork, and the ability to drive when required. Training is provided; transportation duties are part of the job in a residential program.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: Experience performing related job duties preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Fluent spoken/written English; good communication; able to document accurately.
• Other requirements: Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive for the agency.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals identify personal life goals and support daily living tasks.
• Advocate and teach new life skills while promoting health and safety.
• Develop service plans with the interdisciplinary team and document progress.
• Provide positive behavior support and report any abuse or safety concerns.
• Transport clients to appointments or activities using a vehicle when needed.
