Job summary

McAlister’s Deli in Hiram, GA is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to support daily operations, supervise team members, and ensure food quality, service, cleanliness and safety.

You will direct operations in the absence of General Manager/Assistant Manager, schedule staff, monitor speed of service, handle guest comments, and help train new hires.

Strong communication, reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required; prior supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience within the food service industry.
• Supervisory experience a plus but not required.
• Retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure guests have a positive experience and atmosphere.
• Manage FOH and BOH shift responsibilities, including staff scheduling to minimize overtime and meet labor cost controls.
• Monitor speed of service to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Handle guest comments and complaints.
• Supervise daily shifts to maintain McAlister’s standards, product quality and cleanliness.
• Assist in training of team members and new hires; perform line checks as needed.
• Enforce uniform policy and standards.
• Ensure proper cash handling procedures.
• Open and close restaurant in the absence of upper management.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
• Confident in the ability to supervise; safety and sanitation fundamentals; adaptability; teamwork; multi-tasking; organization; stamina.
