Job summary

DSHS Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center seeks an Attendant Counselor 3 to lead daily care activities for residents with developmental disabilities. You will guide staff, coach on care plans, and ensure adherence to Individual Habilitation Plans while maintaining residents’ safety during community activities.

The role requires strong communication and leadership, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a residential setting near Shoreline, WA.

Qualifications

Requires strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to guide staff and support residents with diverse needs.
Willingness to work holidays, weekends, or extended hours.

Responsibilities

As a shift charge, provide verbal and written feedback and coaching to staff.
Ensure care is provided per each resident's IHP and report changes promptly.
Train residents in self-care, including daily living activities and financial management.
Observe and document changes in residents' condition and behaviors.
Escort and supervise residents during activities, appointments, and community outings.
Assist with medical or behavioral emergencies as needed.
Promote infection control and proper use of PPE.
