Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a dependable Cashier/Stocker to support store operations, assist customers, and help lead the team in the absence of management. You will handle merchandise stocking, plan-o-gram upkeep, and ensure cleanliness and safety across the sales floor.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service while protecting assets. A high school diploma and some supervisory exposure help you succeed here.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling.
• Experience using IBM cash registers and following plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and follow receiving procedures.
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise; restock returns.
• Assist customers and locate merchandise.
• Operate register, total purchases, and make change.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; support plan-o-gram upkeep.
• Open/close store under Area Manager guidance.
