Equator Coffees in Sonoma, CA is seeking a Shift Lead to assist the Store Manager in guiding our cafe team and delivering exceptional hospitality. You will help train baristas, ensure consistency of handcrafted beverages, and uphold standards of cleanliness and safety.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires coffee enthusiasm, retail or customer service experience, and the ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Coffee experience preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Current state-issued Food Handler Card.
• Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coach baristas to deliver high-quality beverages.
• Plan and deploy staff for daily operations.
• Uphold store cleanliness, food safety and safety standards.
• Open and close the cafe and manage shift coverage.
• Communicate with the Store Manager about feedback and performance.
• Demonstrate integrity, hospitality, and product knowledge to customers.
• Assist with inventory control and asset protection.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
